About Green Cottage

Sarah B Potter, LEED AP, is the owner and president of Green Cottage. She received her North Carolina General Contractor license in 2005 and started building right away. Tired of problematic and uncomfortable HVAC systems, Sarah started researching better practices. This snowballed into her passion of Green Building. She has spent the last few years gathering all the knowledge and education she can about the topic (through NC Solar Center coursework, GBCI classes, seminars, NAHB conferences, and more). Sarah became a LEED Accredited Professional in early 2009.

Sarah lives with her husband, Ray, and two young daughters, Ava and Jane. We do Green for them and their future, not ours.
